Helping You Navigate the Journey

Immigration Assistance

Every country has immigration proceedings, and the United States is no different. The paperwork involved in establishing yourself as a permanent resident, and eventually, a naturalized citizen can be daunting and confusing if English is not your first language. Even sections of government forms that may appear simple, such as billing address and mailing address, can seem as double the work and unnecessary for languages from countries that do not make that distinction.

For over 35 years, we have been helping newly arrived Latin Americans how to fill out paperwork and gather the necessary documents needed to apply for a visa, extend their visa, petition an alien relative, petition an employer, seek permanent residence or prepare for the citizenship test.  And it all started with my mother, the founder’s, initial application.

Back then, in the mid 1980’s everything applied for was through handwritten paperwork and every correspondence was through regular mail. Responses would take months instead of weeks. The lines at the federal agency offices to make your case would take hours and sometimes the representatives could not see you by the 5pm deadline so you had to return another day. Despite these obstacles, Edilma Mora obtained her permanent residence card and a few years later, through much rehearsal with her son, she was sworn as a naturalized citizen in the 1990’s.

Ever since then, the technology has advanced to allow for an efficient and detailed process of acquiring legitimate stay in the United States. With an email address and cellular phone number, a person can track their case on a step by step basis and even receive a time horizon regarding when their case will reach a decision. Through the USCIS website, you are provided a list of the needed documents and supplementary information that will best lead toward approval. In spite of these tools, many still have trouble navigating the English barrier and remain concerned about making mistakes in their application that may lead to delay or denial.

We are here to assist in every step of the way, fully aware of the worries and anxiety every immigrant experiences of being asked for identity papers from government officials at any time. Our goal is to make sure no migrant suffers forced removal from a location, with the possibility of being separated from their children. By the taking the proper steps toward validating your stay in this country, many can avoid this traumatizing scenario and achieve the American dream for which they traveled and endured hardships to get here for.
